My husband and I and our two dogs just moved from Sacramento to Nevada City, in the foothills of California. We're surrounded by tall pines and red dirt, loving the wind in the trees, the fresh air, snow and pines. We're learning about country living, including splitting wood and building fires, and I walk for miles on trails beside creeks and through the woods. Paradise.
